These beautifully sketched, printed note cards feature the artisan's view of the historic Dundee neighborhood developed in 1880. Dundee has the distinction of having been bombed in WWII. A Japanese incendiary balloon detonated above Dundee in 1945, but did little damage. Nevertheless, a plaque on Underwood Avenue a few yards west of 50th street marks the spot. The Dundee area includes Memorial Park, which has a World War II memorial and a Vietnam/Korean War memorial.
