"Kids in Stitches" is proud to announce the first of a series of videos on crochet for children. This 40-minute video covers the basics of crochet. We start with holding the hook and yarn, and making a slip knot. Then it’s on to some of the basic stitches of crochet, the chain stitch, single crochet, half-double crochet, and more. You will see close shots of the stitches being made. This is great for the visual learner! We finish the DVD with a field trip to Myrrhwood Farms. You will see the new baby lambs and a lesson in cleaning the fleece and an awesome demonstration on spinning yarn from the fleece.
DVD Contents: Holding the Hook and Yarn Slip Knot, Chain Stitch Single Crochet, Turning Chain Slip Stitch, Half-Double Crochet Alternate Version of Half-Double Crochet Changing Colors with Single Crochet Tying in and off your ends, Definition of Gauge Adding Fringe, Running Stitch and Cross Stitch
